Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential partial reimbursement.

Because insurance plans vary widely, I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to ask about:

  • Out-of-network mental health benefits
  • Your deductible
  • Reimbursement rates for psychotherapy

Payment & Billing

Payment for sessions is processed securely through IvyPay, a HIPAA-compliant payment platform designed specifically for therapists and healthcare providers. I accept all major credit cards, debit cards, Health Savings Account (HSA) cards, and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards.

Investment in Therapy

Therapy is a meaningful investment in your emotional well-being, relationships, and long-term growth. My practice is intentionally small so that I can offer thoughtful, personalized care to each client. In addition to my clinical training as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, my work draws from specialized approaches for trauma and relational healing, including:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma processing
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for relational, attachment-based work
  • Parts-based and ego state approaches for working with complex inner experiences
  • Trauma-informed work with dissociation and attachment patterns

These approaches have required extensive postgraduate training and that I continue to engage in ongoing consultation to practice responsibly and effectively. By operating as a private-pay practice, I’m able to maintain flexibility in treatment, protect client privacy, and focus on depth-oriented work without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies.

Sliding Scale

I maintain a limited number of sliding scale appointments in order to make therapy more accessible for clients experiencing financial hardship. Sliding scale spots are limited and offered on a case-by-case basis. These reduced rates are intended for clients who would otherwise be unable to access therapy at the full fee.

Current sliding scale tiers are:

  • Tier 1: $155–195
  • Tier 2: $100–150

Sliding scale arrangements are reviewed periodically (typically annually) to ensure the agreement remains sustainable for both the client and the practice.

If the available sliding scale tiers are not financially accessible, I am happy to help provide referrals to therapists or clinics that may offer lower-cost services.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost.

  • You should receive your Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first service if it is scheduled at least 3 business days in advance. You can also ask for a Good Faith Estimate at any time. This is typically sent through my payment processor IvyPay.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Be sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
